tennis tip 6

Today's Tip: Winning is not the most important thing

Granted we all want to win and strive get that result. But when winning becomes your number one goal during competition it psychologically consumes you and you're focusing your energies on something you cannot control. It's this obsession with winning that can distract you from playing your best. You're no longer giving yourself the best chance to win and therefore you won't win as often as you could. Do everything in your power to control the things you can control ( the pace between points, shot selection, etc., etc.)
Tiger Woods said, "The thing I keep saying to myself is that I want to become a better player at the end of the year. And if I can keep doing that year after year for the rest of my career, I'll have a pretty good career."
Remember, concentrate on the things you can control and the winning will take care of itself.
